About the Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be an essential part of the team, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and site services. You'll work on a variety of equipment, such as deep-drawing presses, hydrogen atmosphere retort furnaces, and vacuum furnaces, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance while adhering to health and safety standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with suppliers to keep the site running at peak efficiency. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues promptly. Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Maintain and repair key machinery and site services. Liaise with suppliers and coordinate maintenance requirements. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Document procedures and complete maintenance paperwork. Support initiatives aimed at improving site efficiency and productivity. Essential Skills 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and fault-finding. Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, ONC, or HNC BTEC). Experience with pneumatic-operated presses, pumps, motors, and compressors. Strong awareness of health and safety standards. IT proficiency, including experience with Excel, Word, and bespoke maintenance IT packages.
