The Role at a Glance:
As a Compliance Process Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring compliance programs, ensuring that all activities meet relevant legal and internal guidelines. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with various departments, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
What You Will Do:
* Conduct assigned assessments of the plant Safety, Environmental, and Reliability Compliance Program in accordance with procedures and the approved assessment schedule
* Coordinate, conduct, and document employee safety and environmental training
* Coordinate, track, and complete required environmental tasks and activities and communicate status to applicable stakeholders
* Ensure compliance to FERC, NERC, and South Dakota compliance & regulatory standards
* Input and maintain data in MicroGADS and MicrogadsWIND
* Ensure day-to-day environmental compliance at the facilities by monitoring, record keeping, and reporting requirements; responsible for the Continuous Emissions Monitoring system (CEMS) operations, and data collection and reporting
* Inspect machinery, equipment and parts to ensure no environmental or safety hazards exist.
* Investigate safety and environmental incidents, including hazardous material spills, air permit violations, water releases, near-misses etc.; perform root cause analysis and develop and submit lessons learned as applicable
* Able to perform duties of Incident Commander (relocated)
* Maintain and update the plant's Reliability Compliance program to meet company and regulatory procedures and directives
* Oversee and implement revisions for the plant Safety and Environmental Manual, participate in Production Safety committee
* The Compliance Coordinator will be on call on a rotating basis as directed by the South Dakota Production Superintendent and will need to respond if an Environmental or Safety situation should occur outside of normal working hours.
* Work with assigned Safety Professional to implement and maintain environmental and safety standards
* Work with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Data Acquisition and Handling (DAHS) Software to ensure they are working properly, coordinate any necessary modifications and upgrades to the CEMS and DAHS (Regperfect)
* Plan and schedule emissions monitoring system maintenance.
* Plan and schedule emissions compliance testing in accordance with applicable rules and standards
* Assist workers in the plant when needed
* Travel to generation facilities service territory to perform site inspections and gather data, meet with customers and attend trainings and conferences.
* Lift up to 50 pounds on a minimal basis
* Other duties as assigned

* Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel is required
Am I right for this job? Here's the success profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Safety and Environmental or similar field of study
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in power plants or industrial facilities; environmental, environmental consulting, safety, regulatory compliance, and operations
* Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
* First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel
* Experience with project scheduling and budgeting preferred
* Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies and procedures
* Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
