We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical Team.
The Jelson Group of companies has a wide range of businesses with our main business being construction (new homes, industrial and commercial), also transport, manufacturing, hospitality, garages, and plumbing/electrical companies.
This is a full-time position to support the growth and function of the Technical Department, which specialises in Architecture and Civil Engineering, within the Jelson Group. The role will require you to work within the Engineering team developing your knowledge and having first-hand experience on what the job contains, whilst on-the-job training.
The right candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic and will assist with engineering projects, provide technical support, and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of engineering. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their technical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Support Engineering Projects: Assist senior engineers in the design of engineering projects and utility schemes.
2. Technical Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
3. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Assist with identifying and resolving technical issues during design and operational phases.
4. Design Assistance: Support the development of design concepts, including CAD modelling, calculations, and simulations.
5. Continuous Learning: Participate in training programs, workshops, and professional development activities to expand technical knowledge and skills.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, cross-functional teams, and external suppliers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
7. Health and Safety Compliance: Follow company policies regarding health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
* Minimum of 5 GCSE’s with grade C/4 or higher, including English and Maths or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must be a keen learner and motivated individual.
* Full training will be provided.
