We’re looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our Heath & Safety and Facilities team in Peterborough with travel across the South & East region. About the role and person: 35 hours per week Permanent As our Health & Safety Advisor for the South & East, you’ll support and improve colleague safety, providing assurance that the health and safety management system is meeting its legal requirements and that risk controls are in place and effective. This will be achieved through delivering colleague safety training programmes, supporting and advising colleagues in your areas and auditing to a schedule in order to monitor and analyse the performance of the health and safety management system. You'll also be involved in accident investigations and providing a responsive service to colleagues and customers when they need advice on Health & Safety matters. Salary The spot salary for this post is £37,184 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary. You'll also receive an essential car user allowance of £1,250 per annum. NEBOSH General Certificate Deep understanding and experience of current UK health & safety legislative and regulatory requirements and how to apply them. Experience of internal auditing or auditing in a variety of health & safety fields Passionate about people and their wellbeing and able to inspire the same perspective in colleagues Curious, creative and innovative in problem solving, an analytical mind with an eye for detail and a capacity for logical and critical thinking A brilliantly positive team player, who will be committed to delivering excellence Accountable, open and honest. Taking ownership of situations from beginning to end to ensure the best possible outcome Fantastic relationship skills which enables you to build rapport with all stakeholders A keen eye for value for money and able to deliver Willingness and flexibility to travel Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use Location The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Peterborough office with travel throughout the south and east region as required. We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs. We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
