What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up a key professional leadership position for Women and Children’s services in NHS Ayrshire & Arran. We are looking for someone who will be a key member of the Women and Children’s triumvirate in providing strong and visible leadership.
The role is strategic and operational, providing strong professional leadership and influencing the future development of a range of clinical services within the individual’s remit on a pan NHS Ayrshire & Arran basis. You will achieve this by providing professional leadership and guidance, expert advice and support in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality:
* patient safety
* the effectiveness of all health care interventions
* patient experience
* the environment in which care is delivered
* value for money and efficiency
As part of the Triumvirate Leadership Teams you will work collaboratively with the Clinical Directors, Head of Midwifery, Head of Nursing and Head of Operations within the organisational structure to provide visible leadership and engagement with staff. You will contribute to the clinical, financial and staff governance standards, ensuring safe, efficient and effective care, compatible with professional and national clinical standards. These include waiting times assurance and management.
You will provide support and leadership, providing a focus on quality of care as part of the divisional triumvirate. The post is essential in supporting the Site Director in providing direction, financial responsibility and the delivery of strategic priorities for Women and Children’s Services.
We are looking for candidates of considerable personal and professional stature who demonstrate highly tuned emotional intelligence, with strong credentials as leaders and a proven track record of delivering service change and improvements.
Hours: 37 per week
