We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cramlington to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.
What you’ll be doing
Complete the effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures
Install and/or modifying equipment as required
Complete a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as major breakdown reports
Work as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required
Operate access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers
Assist with the training and mentoring of apprentices
Who we’re looking for
To apply, we are looking for someone who has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment and have mechanical background. Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings is essential and having knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.
If you are proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues, have excellent communication skills, be organised and self-motivated with a hands on approach we would love to hear from you!

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis. Working hours are an average of 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation, which involves 10 x 12 hour shifts over a 21-day cycle with 11 days off.
