Your new company Your new company is a market leading logistics business in the Lancaster area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis. Your new role Maintain Sales ledger and Purchase Ledger postings on Sage. Reconciling company bank accounts weekly. Set up a weekly payment run and once agreed set up payments for FD authorisation on the online banking platform. Monthly levy sheet and calculation. Updating and maintaining the foreign exchange deals log. Provide a monthly debtors report and weekly credit control of due customer invoices. Complete month end reports to be used to assist FD in the monthly MA pack e.g. transport analysis. Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines - requirements as requested. General office duties to include – filing, answering the telephone. Make travel bookings as required to include for example flights, hotels, parking, trains. Order stationery and other ad hoc office supplies as required. Liaising with auditors. Providing adhoc information in a timely manner as required by FD/MD. What you'll need to succeed At least 5 years experience in a similar role Ability to understand and act upon written and verbal instructions. AAT Qualified / Part Qualified Experience in Sage is preferred but not essential. All round experience in finance and adaptable approach to the role. Intermediate Excel skills.
