Role: Support Worker
Location: Across the North West of England and North Wales
Pay: £15 - £20ph
Hours:
1. Long days (8am - 11pm) and sleep in
2. Shorter day shifts with varied times
3. 12 hour shifts 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am
About the role:
These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of Mental Health issues. You will be required to have experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2 to 1 basis.
Duties include:
1. Ensuring that children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care possible and to assist them in reaching their fullest potential.
2. Ensuring children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times.
3. Providing high standard help, care, and support.
4. Enabling clients/families or children and young people (as appropriate) to enjoy a range of food and supporting them to buy their food from various places including markets, supermarkets, or specialist shops.
The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:
1. Challenging & aggressive behaviour
2. Learning disability
3. Autistic Spectrum Condition
4. ADHD
5. Personality Disorder
6. Self-Injury
7. M.H diagnosis
8. Victims of a range of abuses
9. Inappropriate behaviours
Criteria for these roles are:
1. Child and Adult DBS - on the update service
2. Previous Experience in a similar role
3. NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential)
4. References covering the last 3 years
