Electrician - Full-Time Position
Location: 12 Wykes Road, Exeter, EX1 2UG
Salary: Up to £38,199 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (39 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent position
Role Overview:
Multi-Trades Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team, responsible for domestic electrical testing, remedial work, repairs, and improvements to fixed wiring installations. All work must comply with relevant codes of practice, health and safety law, and domestic electrical work legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake electrical safety and maintenance tasks in line with current best practices and company standards.
2. Provide a flexible, multi-skilled approach to meet job demands, ensuring high standards of compliance, quality, and productivity.
3. Be responsible for personal performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
4. Operate ICT systems efficiently and update information in real time.
5. Adhere to operational protocols and procedures.
6. Manage company equipment (e.g., vehicle, plant, tools) and replenish van stock.
7. Contribute to continuous service improvement and suggest new initiatives to enhance operations.
8. Mentor and train junior staff, sharing knowledge and skills.
9. Work collaboratively with other teams, ensuring all activities meet safety and legislative requirements.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
2. City & Guilds BS7671: 18th Edition IEE Regulations and Electrical Installation.
3. AM2, 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification or equivalent.
4. Full driving licence.
5. Experience in domestic electrical testing, fault finding, and repair.
6. Familiarity with health and safety practices within the trade.
7. Positive attitude to customer engagement and teamwork.
Desirable Attributes:
1. Experience in property maintenance, especially in occupied homes.
2. Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality principles.
3. Relevant CSCS or equivalent skills card.
4. Asbestos awareness training.
5. Previous experience in the social housing sector.
