Senior Occupational Therapist Community Stroke Service
Due to promotion, we are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join the Community Stroke Service here in Herefordshire.
You will be working as part of a skillful and supportive multi-disciplinary team alongside other Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Therapy Support Workers/Practitioners.
This is a countywide service; therefore, you will need to be able to fulfill the travel requirements of the post.
We would also consider a development role to start at band 5, progressing to band 6 once relevant competencies and experience have been gained.
Main Duties of the Job
As an important member of the team, the post holder will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of occupational therapy. You will be part of the therapy resource providing Early Supported Discharge input as well as longer-term Stroke Rehabilitation. You will provide assessment, support planning, and interventions to meet the person's needs in the community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
We offer good support, supervision, and opportunities for development, including the potential for externally funded courses. As a service, we are innovative, forward-thinking, and encourage staff engagement. You will have the opportunity to be involved in service development/quality improvement and develop leadership skills as well as supervising staff and engagement in student placement education.
