Overall Purpose of Role
You will be working as part of a team to maintain the council's fleet of vehicles, plant, and equipment. Responsibilities include inspection, servicing, test preparation, fault diagnosis, and repair to ensure reliable operations.
Main Duties/Key Tasks
Perform inspections, servicing, test preparation, fault diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles/plant/equipment
Complete written and computerised records detailing work performed, parts used, and time taken
Interpret defect reports, provide advice, and feedback to users and drivers
Miscellaneous workshop-related tasks
Responsibilities & Objectives
Maintain a safe, clean workshop by appropriately disposing of waste and redundant parts.
Prioritise and manage workloads efficiently to meet customer service standards.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
Adhere to all health and safety policies, industry regulations, and council guidelines.
Actively implement and promote council equality policies.
Stay updated on advancements in vehicle maintenance and share knowledge within the team.
