As part of continued growth in service, we are recruiting for a Headteacher for a school in Newbury. The well-established school supports pupils aged 6 to 19 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), as well as other complex needs.

Strategic thinking will be key in addressing the complex needs of the students.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will exercise dynamic leadership of the school, ensuring the full development of the vision for the service, its promotion, and continuous improvement. They will create and maintain outstanding outcomes in the education of students.
The Headteacher will drive a shared vision and strategic plan through inspirational leadership that motivates pupils, staff, and the wider school community. Leadership should reflect core educational values and moral purpose while incorporating stakeholders' values and beliefs. Strategic planning will be critical to sustaining school improvement for the benefit of pupils.
Collaboration with the senior leadership team and Regional Director is essential to provide an inclusive approach to outstanding educational and therapeutic provision. The Headteacher will have overall responsibility for strategic leadership while ensuring high standards across schools within the provision.
Minimum Requirements
* Relevant experience working with young people who have additional learning and communication difficulties
* Experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher in an SEMH school
* Familiarity with Ofsted procedures/inspections and working with School Improvement Partners
* Ability to manage budgets effectively while ensuring cost efficiency and financial compliance
* Relevant Teaching Qualification
