Technical Inspector - Energy Projects Nottingham and Midlands £38,084 - £42,794 per annum Have you got current and relevant knowledge of energy efficiency or experience in project management? The Energy team will help deliver the promises set out in NCHA's Environmental & Suitability strategy. The team will be responsible for delivering energy efficiency works to around 1000 homes over a 5 year period to ensure 95% of the housing stock are EPC band C or above. As a Technical Inspector you will work alongside the Retrofit Project Team to successfully deliver the NCHA Retrofit programmes. You will provide outstanding customer focused service in line with NCHA's vision of "More Homes, Great Services, Better Lives and Environmental and Sustainability Strategy" As Technical Inspector, some of your key duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Complete technical surveys and inspections related to Retrofit projects SHDF Wave 1 and SHDF Wave 2 projects, Room in a Roof, Cavity wall insulation and Loft insulation projects but not limited to, in line with agreed PAS 2035 / PAS 2030 standards and Trustmark accreditation as well as current Building Regulations Complete regular works quality assurance inspections through every stage of the project on site delivery and issue clear defect instructions to the contractors Carry out post inspections on completion of the works and sign off of the works Ensure that all work carried out is undertaken in accordance with the relevant codes of practice, PAS 2035 and PAS 2030 regulations, Trust Mark standards current Building Regulations Monitor health and safety on site and compliance with CDM 2015 Regulation which may include acting as designer or principle designer on small first fabric retrofit works and projects The ideal candidate Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and experience working in either a construction or maintenance environment and hold relevant qualifications such as a HNC/ NVQ level 4 in Building or associated discipline. They must possess excellent time management skills along with being able to plan their workload effectively and be able to work as part of a team. They will be able to show commitment and ability to model NCHA’s CLEAR values and purpose. Flexible operating hours Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm with hybrid working between the office, home and sites across the East Midlands. A driving licence is required for this role.
