The Service: The Children, Families and Education Directorate is focused on delivering its statutory duties and high-quality supporting traded services. The Sufficiency and Resources Service within this Directorate supports school organization, management, and improvement. Your New Role: You will work alongside the School Place Planning and School Organisation Officer on school organization and place planning. This involves developing systems for effective management of school, SEND, and alternative provision place planning, analyzing data, and developing projection methodologies to understand the supply and demand for school places in Portsmouth. You will monitor and report on school placements to ensure the local authority meets its statutory obligations. What you'll need to succeed: You will have knowledge and experience in pupil place planning, school organization, school capital funding requirements, data management and analysis, and report preparation. You will possess strong communication and influencing skills, project and contract management skills, and be able to work under tight deadlines. An innovative approach and the ability to drive change are essential, along with being a team player who values diversity.
