Universal health and development reviews are key features of the programme and aim to assess children, young people and families' strengths, needs and risks and provide parents, carers, children and young people with the opportunity to discuss their concerns and aspirations. Growth and development are assessed at key points with the aim of promoting health and wellbeing and the early detection and management of health needs.
