Overview
* Responsible for the forecasting, planning and management of stock for a specific category of products, to support the delivery of sales and margin objectives.
* Accountable for the set up and management of accurate and timely product data including life cycle status control.
* A strong cross functional relationship with distribution teams to ensure availability targets are met.
* Working closely with Product Manager to maximise long-term profitability of relevant product ranges, by improving stock efficiency, effectively executing range review activity and managing mark down and clearance plans.
* Create a suite of Management Information reports to support the business commercial decision making process across all product areas in a timely manner.
* Analyse Product sales and Margin data in order to provide the business with the relevant information required at SKU and Micro and Macro space level at each of the individual Mole Avon Stores.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for creating stock budgets by category and month, ensuring stock levels support business objectives and meet working capital constraints.
* To analyse and evaluate category product performance against stock and space investment, to drive improved stock turn and optimise margins.
* Owns category product data ensuring accurate and timely data management.
* Accountable for product and supplier set up processes with consistent processes and compliance measures.
* Accountable for creating and communicating stock forecast and demand plans, supporting terminal/discontinued stock clearance and live stock management within agreed stock levels.
* To manage category stock levels responding to market trends and seasonal factors as per the agreed stock, sales, and margin budgets.
* Accountable for forecasting category seasonal sales/stock trends and promotional campaign activity in accordance with overall sales, margin and stock budgets.
* Accountable for availability of live products to agreed levels, with particular emphasis on best sellers, promotions and key ranges.
* Responsible for category stock status management with clear communication to improve product life cycle management and optimise net margins.
* Accountable for stock plans and investment for new ranges and category changes.
* Accountable with the Product Managers for the development, communication and execution of exit strategies and mark down in line with budget.
* Accountable for the accurate setting of category Min & Max levels, in line with sales, stock and store display levels.
* Responsible for agreeing best routes of supply from Supplier to Customer, ensuring best price and best service levels maintained.
* Responsible for agreeing capacity plans for in-bound/out-bound volumes.
* Responsible with Product Managers for mid & short term forecasting of ranges, providing timely and accurate sales & stock requirements to ensure suppliers provide continuity of stock.
* Responsible with Product Managers to provide all supporting information and service levels, to enable Supplier Compliance and delivery to agreed standards.
* To ensure that suppliers are aligned to Mole Avon’s goals and comply with Mole Avon’s ways of working to deliver the best service to our customers.
* Manage supplier returns following new processes to improve customer experience and store efficiencies.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Retail experience advantageous.
* Stock & merchandising skills typically gained through several years of experience.
* Ability to communicate professionally & effectively with internal & external customers.
* Flexibility and ability to be a team player.
* Ability to work & plan into the future typically 6 months in advance.
* Project management skills to enable change programmes to be successful.
* Logical, multitasker, numerate, analytical, detail conscious, assertive and able to retain information.
* Data awareness, spot trends and forecast requirements and understand procedures for order calculations.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Experience of managing stock in a multi-site retail environment.
* Computer literate and accurate data input ability.
* Particular experience in; Word, Excel, Outlook and stock control systems.
* To be action orientated, taking initiatives and addressing problems logically.
* Ability to make decisions within given parameters.
