As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be at the frontline of our sales strategy, identifying and qualifying leads, setting up high-value meetings, and fuelling our sales pipeline. What You’ll Be Doing:
* Identifying and engaging potential clients through calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
* Owning the first impression: engaging, qualifying, and setting the stage for successful sales conversations.
* Booking meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives.
* Collaborating closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth and shorten the sales cycle.
* Maintaining accurate records of prospecting activities in our CRM system.
* Constantly improving outreach effectiveness through testing and strategy refinement.
* Staying informed about industry trends and market intelligence to stay ahead of the competition and continuously improve skills and product knowledge.
* Representing SPG professionally in all interactions, embodying the company's values and culture.
About You:
* At least 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the IT, Cloud, or Managed Services sectors.
* Passion for business development, who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and is eager to grow within a fast-paced, high-energy team.
* Knowledge of Cloud, IT Hosting, Virtualisation, or related technologies is a plus but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage prospects and convert interest into opportunities.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to handle objections and think on your feet – resilience is key!
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage a high volume of leads.
* Proficiency with CRM systems and understanding of sales processes.

Location: You'll be based in one of our UK offices Leeds or Newcastle, both just a short walk from the train station. We work best when we’re together, so office time is important for this role.
