Distributed Services Engineer required to provide on-site support for IT hardware and software products, adhering to Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards, with a focus on prompt and accurate resolution of technical issues.
Our highly successful Managed Service Provider client seeks a skilled Distributed Services Engineer to join their team, providing on-site support for IT hardware and software products. This role requires a professional with a strong technical foundation and excellent communication skills to work with clients at their premises, resolving technical issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair PCs, laptops, printers, servers, and retail equipment, as well as associated peripherals
* Provide desk-side support to clients
* Complete part movements (RMA generation & physical movement) in a timely and accurate manner
* Assist other engineers in delivering service to customers
* Cover site roles where required due to planned or unplanned absence
* Achieve a KPI target of 5 visits/fixes per day
* Communicate with Call Administration and the Branch to manage call details in real-time and understand customer SLA requirements
* Utilize a PDA to check and update allocated calls, and reflect actual work done in real-time
* Carry out any other reasonable requests from line management
* Perform customer rebuilds and configurations
* Carry out AV repairs and printer repairs
* Conduct IMAC projects with minimal supervision
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of PC, laptop, printer, and associated peripherals operation
* Familiarity with key client-specific procedures
* Trained in Desktop/Laptop/Printers and Servers
* Excellent knowledge of common software products
* Excellent customer-facing skills
* SC Clearance and a full driving license are required
