SEN Teaching Assistant – Wigan

Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students identified as having additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, or other challenges. You’ll play a crucial role in the classroom, providing tailored support to enhance students’ learning experiences and boost their confidence. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.
Collaborate with the SENCO and SEN department to implement Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Regularly report on student progress to teachers and support staff.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs in a school or educational environment is highly desirable.
Understanding of Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or Moderate Learning Difficulties.
