About the Role As a Deputy Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the home, especially in the absence of the Registered Manager. You’ll oversee all aspects of young people’s individual placement plans, including care, education, therapeutic input, and assessments. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating and overseeing young people’s care plans to ensure holistic support. Managing the home’s day-to-day administration to meet legislative and business requirements. Providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to the team. Maintaining Ofsted standards and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young people to thrive. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking an experienced leader and motivator with a proven track record in children’s residential services. You’ll have supported young people who have experienced early years trauma and understand the challenges and rewards of the role. Ideal candidates will: Be calm, resilient, and empathetic, with excellent communication skills. Have at least two years’ experience in a residential children’s service, with at least one year at a supervisory or senior level. Hold an L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and either possess or be working towards an L5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
