About The Role
WWT Arundel has over 40 species of wildfowl, many of which are endangered, all set within a beautiful 65 acre site. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our small team as a part time Seasonal Grounds Assistant.
Your role will help to deliver a great visitor experience by keeping all public areas well-kept and safe for the enjoyment of our visitors. You will carry out site maintenance, assist with strimming, planting, daily path, rail clearing and litter picking.
This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract working 22.5 hours a week.
About You
To join us as our Seasonal Grounds Assistant you’ll need:
* Experience of carrying out maintenance and cleaning duties.
* Experience of working with birds.
* Good communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure public facing areas are suitably maintained.
* A full driving licence is essential for this role.
* Prior experience of using horticultural machinery e.g. tractors, strimmers, mowers.
