Role: PR & Campaigns Officer
Contract Length: Approx 12 months

Pay: £19.44 per hour PAYE + c15% accrued holiday + pension contribution
Driving License: It is desirable that the post-holder should possess a full driving license to travel around the area to meet the demands of the role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for a self-motivated and creative person with strong experience in the PR and campaigns field, particularly in public sector campaigns.
The candidate will deliver a comprehensive multi-disciplinary public relations and external campaigns service within the policing and public safety sector, ensuring the strategy reduces the fear of crime and increases public confidence in this service.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Significant experience of delivering PR and campaigns to achieve outcomes for a large organisation.
2. Possess multidisciplinary skills across news and communication fields including media liaison, PR and campaigns activity, and knowledge of digital and social media to enhance online presence and engagement.
3. Well-developed understanding and experience of direct contact with traditional media, multi-channel campaign work, and customer behaviour, with the ability to undertake insight research and analyse data for campaign development.
4. Strong creative ability with a good basic design sense of printed and online communication, and a sound understanding of branding.
5. Knowledge of media law to ensure efficient service provision or willingness to attend training on media law.
6. Good written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to summarise complex information in clear, non-specialist language.
7. Ability to plan and prioritise work, use initiative to meet competing deadlines, while ensuring attention to detail.
8. Experience working successfully with cross-discipline teams, able to commission and delegate work, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
9. Ability to learn about emerging advancements in all aspects of marketing communications.
