An exciting opportunity for a Producibility Manufacturing Engineer role has arisen within Rolls Royce Submarines.

Rolls-Royce Submarines are looking to recruit self-motivated Manufacturing Engineers who enjoy learning new skills and resolving a wide range of challenges.
As part of the Engineering Producibility Team, a Manufacturing Engineer is expected to influence new designs using New Product Introduction tools to ensure manufacturability and improve existing product designs.

What you will be doing:
* Execute Manufacturing Product Introduction activities, including the design of the overall Method of Manufacture and individual process steps.
* Utilize DFMEA / PFMEA knowledge to influence product definition and final form manufacture.
* Create and validate Production Technical Instructions that meet safety, quality, cost, delivery rate & lead time (SQCD) requirements.
* Act as the manufacturing technical authority for the product and manage First offs, new part numbers, significant method resequencing, and new tooling introduction.
* Serve as the primary Manufacturing Engineering representative within a cross-functional team for owned parts.
Who we’re looking for:
* Experience in fabrications, valves, complex assemblies, machining, and critical classified components.
* A degree or equivalent in an engineering or related technical discipline with previous manufacturing/process engineering experience.
* Strong analytical skills and proven technical problem-solving abilities, along with knowledge of six sigma/lean techniques.
* Good communication skills, able to liaise with all levels of staff.
* Excellent organizational and presentation skills; comfortable presenting at all levels.
