Job overview
The opportunity has arisen to become Clinical lead in the Mental Health and Wellness teams in the Community Mental Health Transformation.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with at least three years post qualifying experience in a mental health setting. The post holder will deputise for the team manager and be able to autonomously oversee clinical systems and staff. It is essential that applicants have excellent organisational skills and are competent with using computer programmes and databases.
NELFT is currently in year 2 of a 3 year Community Mental Health Transformation programme and the teams will evolve into mental health and wellness teams - they will be needs led and focus on placed based care - moving to locality teams around the Primary Care Networks.
Main duties of the job
Experience of undertaking assessment of complex case, including risk assessments .
Experience of undertaking complex evidence based interventions that manage high risk.
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills working with service users and staff within a demanding multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to provide clinical supervision and undertake appraisal and performance reviews with staff.
Able to deputise for the team manager and work autonomously when appropriate.
The B&D Mental Health Teams are evolving into the mental Health and Wellness Team in the Community Mental health Transformation. The focus is very much on a team approach with ensuring co production with service users.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata).

Assist the Team Manager in the delivery of recovery orientated interventions and evidence based practice by working with a caseload and supervising staff.
Oversee clinical systems within the team.
Attend meetings and forums as required by the team manager.
Work with other seniors on a rota basis to oversee new and urgent referrals to the team.
