The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity to work on an exceptionally varied workload on a number of different developments ranging from residential, commercial, industrial, retail, health, leisure, education, waste and renewables, in particular wind farms. Furthermore, we are involved with structural inspections, appraisals and report preparation. We have a significant number of new build and refurbishment schemes which offer a wide range of interest and experience to the successful candidate.
Successful candidates will hold a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering and will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in building structures and software for analysis and design. We use Tekla Structural Designer and the ability to be able to use this software is essential.
This role is aimed ideally at structural engineers with over five years’ experience who are chartered or if not yet chartered they should be well on the way to becoming chartered. You should possess excellent written/oral communication skills, offer strong presentation and computer skills, be highly motivated and used to working in a team and delivering to tight deadlines. As an essential and integral part of the Structures team we need the successful candidate to have a passion for improving the built environment and be interested in design and sustainable design principles and be a role model and mentor for more junior engineers, teaching them how to deal with technical problems and how to successfully manage projects and clients. Experience of wind turbine foundation design would be beneficial.
