Aufgaben
1. Leading the Survey team, including briefing and guidance of the survey team, project team, subcontractors, suppliers and 3rd parties on the Survey management approach and relevant software.
2. Defining and Implementing strategies, standard methods & procedures (SM&Ps) and time-tables that fulfil project requirements, works information and are compliant with all relevant standards and take account of relevant UK government construction strategies and standards.
3. Efficiency, accuracy and timely delivery of setting out and surveys.
4. Review risk assessments prepared by the senior Engineering Surveyors
5. Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies Implement the relevant requirements of the Safety Management System within their area of responsibility.
6. Ensure that their staff receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy and are kept informed of environmental developments and issues.
7. Develop survey budgets, assess actual costs and review monthly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes.
8. Advise of technical advances and current best practice to ensure that most efficient methods of survey control and setting out are communicated and used throughout the projects.
9. Ensure survey and operations teams have the correct resources readily available so as not to impede the construction programme.
10. Clash Prevention – spatially co-ordinated data that is right first time, in accordance with BIM Policy
11. Internal liaison with the Project Management and Engineering Team, QA team and Cost Control
12. External liaison with subcontractors / suppliers and Stakeholders
13. Developing, guiding and mentoring the survey team in terms of skills & competencies as well as encouraging behaviours / cultures supporting collaboration, to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
14. Driving innovation,EDI and the upskilling of the survey and project team to deliver a nextgeneration survey approach and continuous improvement
Qualifikationen
15. Skills card - CSCS Card (relevant type)
16. All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site based work is required
17. Minimum 3 GCSE’s (Mathematics, English and a Science).
18. Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying or ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying and 10 years of experience as an Engineering Surveyor.
19. Computer competence (Excel, AutoCAD, NRG).
20. Extensive awareness of appropriate instruments and associated software for varied platforms.
21. Understanding of Engineering Drawings weekly Programmes and relevant QA procedures.
