JOB DESCRIPTION: UK Sales Manager / Director of Sales / Business Development Manager – Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment
This UK Sales Manager role (Director of Sales designate) will see you take ownership of the Sales function of our successful manufacturer and distributor / importer of Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment. Based in Watford, you will be working alongside the senior leadership team, generating new and existing business in a front line sales capacity. You will also have full responsibility for guiding the strategic direction of the sales – recruiting, managing and developing the sales team – whilst also taking ownership of budgets and targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: UK Sales Manager / Director of Sales / Business Development Manager – Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment
· UK Sales Manager dealing with several key accounts – working on the specification of our product range to new and existing clients across Utilities, Engineering, Facilities Management, Contracting and general Industrial customers.
· Conduct a holistic review of the sales function across the company and, alongside the Directorship team, identify and implement the correct strategy for growth including hiring, managing, targets and budgets.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: UK Sales Manager / Director of Sales / Business Development Manager – Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment
As our UK Sales Manager, you will:
· Have a proven track record of sales / business development / key account management success from a manufacturer / importer of electrical / electronic products or components.
· Be a strategic leader – able to step up into a directorship position within a short to medium time frame but must also be happy to be the ‘face of the company’ in a front-line senior sales role and capable of building long term relationships.
· Have managed Teams to targets of £2m – £10m
· Have experience of building, developing and managing a sales team and know how to get the best out of sales professionals.
· Most probably have an electrical / electronic qualification – though a time served sales professional within an appropriate sector would also suffice.

PROSPECTS:
This is a Director of Sales designate position. You will be promoted to a Directors role within the short to medium term once you establish yourself within the business.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, UK Sales Manager, Business Development Director, Key Account Manager, Sales Director, Export Sales, Specification Sales, Electronic Sales Engineer, Electrical Sales Engineer, Sales Team Leader – Electrical Components, Electronic Components, Electrical Instrumentation, Electrical Equipment.
