Job Title: QHSE Manager
Location: Swadlincote.
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum DOE + Company Car
This role requires frequent travel to other UK sites and will also offer remote working options.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced QHSE Manager to lead the charge in implementing and maintaining quality health, safety and environmental protocols across our client’s manufacturing operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working autonomously, driving continuous improvement, and making a real difference.
As the QHSE Manager, you’ll be a key player in fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring the clients products meet the highest quality standards. You’ll lead safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations, while also implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your role will involve collaborating with production teams to address quality concerns and using data to identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and promote a safety-first culture across the organisation.
* Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
* Deliver safety training and orientations for new employees.
* Develop and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards.
* Perform quality audits across all stages of production.
* Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues.
* Maintain and analyse quality data to identify trends and improvements.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality.
* Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
* Demonstrable experience in QHSE management, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment.
* NEBOSH qualification is essential.
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and quality control standards.
* Proven ability to analyse data, solve problems, and drive improvements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office.
* Additional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CSP) are a plus.
