Children and Young Peoples Project Worker (TAS)
35 hours per week / 17.5 hours job share will be considered
Temporary contract until March 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to successful funding
Salary £13.03 per hour
Purpose Of The Role
The Children and Young Peoples Workers will work with selected schools in an advisory capacity ensuring that children and young people from the Bolton area can access the right services for domestic abuse (DA). This also ensures the school are able to further develop sustainable partnerships and internal resources to support children. The worker will also support and educate children and young people both individually and as part of group work sessions around DA. Identifying and assisting with safeguarding issues is a key part of this role.
Key Skills
1. An ability to work collaboratively with local schools and professionals.
2. An ability to build and develop supportive relationships with children and young people, maintaining professional boundaries.
3. Experience of delivering group work and individual support sessions with children and young people of all age ranges.
4. A sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, Early Help, adults at risk and a commitment to follow procedure.
