Job Description:
The Office of Technology Transfer is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating a variety of administrative functions within the office. The position will primarily focus on conducting preliminary reviews of all incoming contracts and agreements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Review incoming contracts and agreements to ensure their completion, gather additional information as needed, as well as identify items for further review by the Director. Maintain current knowledge of best practices for University Technology Transfer Agreements through participation in organized training through UAlbany, SUNY Research Foundation and AUTM (Association of University Technology Managers). Ensure adherence to University at Albany, SUNY and Research Foundation policies and procedures.
2. Organize and maintain office databases for tracking incoming contracts and agreements. Archive previously executed agreements on Inteum, the office's Intellectual Property Management System.
3. Plan and manage events and communications.
4. Network with faculty researchers, campus colleagues, and external partners to assist with department initiatives.
5. Manage day-to-day administrative office tasks such as ordering supplies, submitting purchase orders, and drafting internal memos.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and one year in an administrative coordinating role OR an Associate’s degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization and three years in an administrative coordinating role.
2. Understanding of legal terminology and contract law.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in higher education, or a nonprofit research organization.
Salary Range: $52,000-$62,000
