HMP Humber are looking for Clinical Lead to provide mental health care to patients. This role will be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services working as part of a stepped care model. You will completing comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, and providing evidence-based interventions alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will work with internal and external partners, including partner healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, probation services. As such, you will need excellent communication skills and a teamwork ethos.
Main duties of the job
You will either be a Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist. You'll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.
You will have experience providing compassionate mental health care and have an understanding of the criminal justice system. You will make on going assessment of need reflecting individual circumstances and provide relevant interventions and input to discharge planning. You will be required to have strong coordination and planning skills, with the ability to make decisions based on comprehensive health and risk assessments.
You should be innovative, flexible and able to engage with patients with complex needs. You will be committed to a person-centred approach and have the ability to prioritise.
A £3,000 Trust welcome bonus will be applied to this post and is paid, as follows
1. £1,500 upon joining the Trust
2. £750 after year 1
3. £750 after year 2

Essential
* RNMH,/RNLD or registered practitioner, current professional registration with NMC or relevant professional body.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education (within agreed timescales)
* 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
* Clinical Supervisor (within agreed timescales).
* Recognised sign-off mentor or must be achieved within agreed timescale.
