We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire payroll process, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, and work closely with HR and Finance teams to provide strategic insights. This role requires strong leadership skills, advanced knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment. As the Senior Payroll Manager, you will lead on continuous improvement and will play an active part in future systems upgrades and projects.
WHAT IMPACT YOU WILL CREATE AT CHANEL
1. Oversee at least 10 paygroups/payrolls, ensuring all the correct checks have been carried out before committing the payrolls for the UK and Ireland, whilst maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations and ensuring data is securely maintained.
2. Carry out the Global corporate Monthly payroll working with the Global employee mobility team.
3. Deal with S690’s and Expats and non-executive payments.
4. Pay the Tax for the Shadow payroll and Posting the Journal.
5. Manage the Cycle scheme, Childcare vouchers, Loan deductions, and Pension scheme.
6. Calculate notional salaries for Company cars and medical insurance.
7. Perform National Minimum wage checks.
8. Reconciliation of all Payroll related balance sheet accounts.
9. Manage Consultants’ recharges for UK and Irish payrolls.
10. Posting the payroll Journals.
11. PSA monthly assessment and year end accounting.
12. HMRC reconciliation of monthly payments.
13. P11d processing.
14. Oversee all court orders and Work and Pension requests for information.
15. Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team.
16. Establish best practices and streamline payroll processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
17. Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate payroll-related audits.
18. Manage and optimize payroll systems and software, including integrations with HRIS and finance systems.
19. Partner with IT and software vendors to resolve technical issues and implement system enhancements.
YOU ARE ENERGISED BY

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
1. 7+ years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
2. Proven track record of managing complex payroll systems and processes.
3. Proficiency in payroll software (Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
4. Experience with HRIS and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus).
5. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
