Key Duties
* 1‑to‑1 Behaviour Support – motivate and mentor individual pupils so they stay engaged and progress.
* Small‑Group Interventions – deliver targeted activities that build social skills and positive behaviour.
* Multi‑School Coverage – use your own car to travel between primary and secondary schools in Cardiff & the Vale, adapting to new settings each day.
* Collaborative Planning – work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents and outside agencies to design and review personalised support plans.
* Positive Classroom Culture – model calm, consistent routines that create safe, inclusive learning environments.

Essential Criteria
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH / behavioural needs.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Flexibility to work across multiple Vale of Glamorgan schools.
* Strong verbal & written communication; resilient, solution‑focused mindset.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
Desirable Extras
* Previous Behaviour Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant experience.
* Qualifications in education, psychology, counselling or related field.
* Knowledge of PBIS, restorative practices, Team‑Teach or other behaviour‑management frameworks.
