This pivotal role will oversee key financial and accounting operations, drive global compliance, and play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth, including IPO preparations. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, ensuring robust accounting compliance, financial reporting, and controls across all markets. What you'll do: Financial Reporting, Auditing, and Compliance Oversee the group consolidated audit under PCAOB standards, ensuring timely and efficient completion in line with internal deadlines. Overall review of internal, group financial reports prepared by Accounting Manager. Act as the primary liaison with auditors, fostering strong relationships to ensure efficient audits across the group, supported by the External Reporting Manager. Maintain ongoing global tax compliance. Oversee statutory filings across all territories, including Company Secretarial and equivalent global filings. Completing quarterly and annual investor confirmation statements. Ensure compliance with global insurance requirements, including maintaining adequate coverage for operations, assets, and employees in all territories, monitoring and renewing policies as business needs change. New Market Set-Up Take ownership of financial and operational set-up in new markets, ensuring compliance with local regulations while aligning with global goals. Including, not limited to: Accounting, Bookkeeping and Advisory Engagements: Tender for and appoint local accounting advisors. Act as the primary point of contact for all financial advisory engagements. Banking: Open local bank accounts and maintain strong relationships with banking partners. Tax Compliance: Manage local compliance, including but not limited to: Sales, state, corporate/federal, and property taxes, as applicable. Payroll and registrations in collaboration with the HR Manager. Systems and Processes: Support the Accounting Manager setting up bookkeeping entities, ongoing bookkeeping, and supporting training on policies and processes where needed. Establish and enhance internal controls, mitigating risks in areas such as banking, approvals, expenses, and accounting policies, supported by the External Reporting Manager. Systems and Efficiency Improvements Drive process improvements, automation, and system efficiencies across the Accounting and Finance functions to enhance productivity and accuracy. Collaborate with External Reporting Manager and department heads to identify and mitigate financial compliance risks across the organisation. Our ideal candidate has: Proven experience as an Accounting Director, Finance Director or similar senior role within a multinational organisation. Expertise in global tax strategy, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and IFRS standards. Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and demonstrated success in driving system and process improvements. Experience leading teams and mentoring junior team members, with a track record of nurturing professional growth. Familiarity with global financial governance, and PCAOB auditing standards.
