About Homes for Support:
Homes for Support is a strong and well-structured team of childcare professionals providing therapeutic residential care to children, and young people ages 7 to 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning disabilities. To give you the best possible support and experience as a member of our team, our two to six-bedroom Residential Children's Homes are close to our Head Office and in-house Training venue in Crewe, Cheshire.
Requirements:

* Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Demonstrate an ability to lead a team of professionals to care and support children and young people in a child-centred approach.
We operate a six-day rolling working pattern. You should arrive at the Residential Children’s Home at 08:00 on your first day at work, you will work and sleep-in for two days and nights before leaving the home to rest, relax and recharge away from the Residential Children's Home.
Responsibilities:
To enable you to build solid professional relationships and succeed as part of our team, you will dedicate your commitment to one Residential Children's Home to:
* Lead and deliver daily care to looked after children (LAC) living in a group environment, ensuring the Home is clean, hygienic and well-equipped
* Enable and facilitate access to safe and supportive educational and leisure activities
* Support the development of life skills, including building and sustaining positive relationships and independence skills such as positive behaviours, relationships and activities, budgeting, shopping, and cooking
* Supervise a team of childcare professionals; delegate and oversee tasks, lead by example and ensure best practice in all aspects of work
* Represent Homes for Support and advocate for children in our partnership with professionals and families
