An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ENT Outpatient team, based at The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH).
We welcome applicants with ENT experience, though not essential, as full training will be given.
An induction programme and supernumerary period allows staff to build their confidence and skills in a highly specialised area.
You will be working as part of a caring and compassionate team, whilst being supported by the multi-disciplinary team.
We are a team who is committed to delivering and maintaining high quality patient care and are looking to attract nurses who share our goals. In return we will support ongoing professional development by way of full preceptorship and provide opportunities for the individual to develop their clinical skills.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, be enthusiastic, well motivated and share commitment to team working.
You will be expected to:
* Support the Medical team in our Emergency Care Clinic.
* Assist and support any admissions to the ward.
* Assist with any telephone enquiries relating to a patient's treatment.
* Deputise in the absence of the Dept Manager and Clinical Sister, showing leadership and expertise.
These duties are not exhaustive of the role but give a good indicator of the expectations of the post holder.

Knowledge and Skills
* Tracheostomy care.
* Knowledge of ENT conditions.
EXPERIENCE
* Experience of working within the multidisciplinary team and on own initiative.
* Experience working in an outpatient setting.
* Experience working with patients who have ENT conditions.
Personal Attributes
* Caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration.
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
* Teaching Certificate.
