Location: This role will involve covering a number of practices across LUTON
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough hearing assessments to determine the nature and extent of patients' hearing loss.
2. Provide expert advice and guidance on hearing solutions, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices.
3. Select, fit, and dispense appropriate hearing aids to patients, ensuring proper functionality and comfort.
4. Conduct follow-up appointments to fine-tune hearing aids, make necessary adjustments, and address any concerns or issues.
5. Offer counselling and support to patients and their families to help them adapt to their hearing aids and manage their hearing loss effectively.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
7. Stay up to date with advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology through continuing education and professional development.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive hearing care services.
9. Participate in marketing and promotional activities to raise awareness about hearing healthcare and the services offered by the company.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of a master’s degree in Hearing Aid Audiology or a related field.
* Valid certification as an Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser.
* At least 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Thorough knowledge of hearing assessment techniques, hearing aid technology, and assistive listening devices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficient in using audiometric equipment and software for hearing evaluations and programming hearing aids.
* High level of professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity when dealing with patients experiencing hearing loss.
* Patient-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and improving patients' quality of life.
Salary and Benefits
Competitive annual salary of £40,000 plus the potential of up to 20% bonus based on sales revenue, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

As an independent, family-run business, there are no restrictions to particular hearing aid manufacturers, allowing you to choose the most appropriate devices for your patients.
You will be equipped with a full range of equipment, including Video Otoscopy, Tympanometry, Speech Testing, REMs, Microsuction, and Irrigation equipment, to tailor each consultation to the patient.
With ongoing support from a clinical care team, you'll have opportunities for further training and development to enhance patient care and your personal skills.
