Job Summary: Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests, supervisors, and team members. Responsible for all results from cook line through the dining experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Yes. Will supervise Crossings Cafe team, Marketplace team, and Starbucks team (as needed)
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Possesses complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
* Continuously fosters great relationships with team members in all areas and mentors others to do the same.
* Ensures that all guests are treated in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
* Sets standards by being cooperative, helpful and friendly, and by presenting a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
* Ensures proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines.
* Ensures strict adherence to all policies and procedures.
* Monitors inventories and reports discrepancies to the Manager and/or the Director of Food & Beverage.
* Oversees the end of month inventory process and presents it to the Manager and/or Director of Food and Beverage and Department Analyst.
* Holds periodic meetings with Supervisors and with team members.
* Meets budgeted figures for labor and other expenses.
* Notifies team members of changes in policy and procedure.
* Must work closely with Department Trainer to ensure all new hires are trained both with classroom and floor programs. Ensure all existing team members are attending follow-up training sessions.
* Communicates any problems or concerns to the Manager and/or Director and other departments as needed.
* Works with all departments to ensure proper communication.
* Participates and/or leads in departmental meetings as required.
* Maintains files in such a way that another supervisor could perform efficiently in the event of his/her absence.
* Promotes the Casino through good will and positive attitude.
* Maintains high sanitation and safety standards.
* Maintains security of products and areas assigned to the department.
* Understands that this is a 24-hour responsibility and is accessible at all times.
* Sets high standards by complying with all departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
* Ensures that all Team Members are treated in a fair and consistent manner.
* Performs any other duties as specified or assigned by the VP or any member of Executive Management.
* All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years as supervisor or above of a full-service restaurant.
* A strategic thinker and creative problem solver who takes the initiative and ownership.
* Self-starter with a creative mind and a track record of putting ideas into practice and assessing results.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
* Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
* Ability to obtain a Food Manager's Certificate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Strong business acumen and understanding of the business drivers in the industry.
* Demonstrates the ability to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders.
* Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to work while standing for hours at a time.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
* Must be able to work in a loud, bright, and/or smoky environment.
