Are you ready to make a real difference in someone's life while having fun along the way? We are looking for a kind-hearted, patient, and enthusiastic male support worker to join our team and support an amazing gentleman in his 40s who thrives in his own supported living home.
Why This Role Stands Out?
This gentleman lives independently in Hemel Hempstead with a beautiful house and a spacious garden (and yes, there's free parking!). He is passionate about Chinese culture but also enjoys celebrating Christian traditions, allowing you to enjoy a blend of traditions and cultures.
He loves being present in his community, going for walks, playing board games, and even heading off on exciting holidays - his recent adventures include Prague and Benidorm! At home, he is a music lover with a CD player and enjoys expanding his collection.
Family is important to him, so your role will also involve building a great relationship with his loved ones and keeping them involved in his life.
Here's What You Will Be Doing:
- You will assist with important daily tasks like bathing and showering, ensuring the person you support feels comfortable, respected, and maintains their dignity.
- You will play a key role in administering oral medication safely and on time, following all the necessary guidelines.
- This gentleman is passionate about cooking! You will work together in the kitchen to prepare meals. If you enjoy food and cooking, this is the perfect opportunity to share that enthusiasm.
- As he has his own car, you will need to be a confident and capable driver, comfortable behind the wheel of an automatic vehicle.
