To continue to expand our technical expertise we have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a company with an impressive reputation within the food packaging industry and be part of a dynamic engineering team who will play a crucial role in our journey towards being the world leader in global industry racing towards sustainable food packaging. The Role This role will be to provide Mechanical Engineering support for our site, both on new projects and for the existing plant. Key responsibilities will be wide ranging and will include the following: Prepare project plans and budget for assigned engineering projects Liaise with key stakeholders to determine the scope of projects and advise on engineering solutions Write technical specifications and evaluate quotations/tender documents Contribute to Project and Capital Expenditure proposals, providing appropriate information to support fabrication and demonstrate payback Co-ordinate installation and commissioning activities Undertake technical fault finding and develop or advise upon relevant solutions Innovate, develop and improve engineering practices to ensure equipment performance is effective Facilitate training on new equipment as required and provide technical support to maintenance and production Operate within the requirements of Company ISO standards, promoting Quality, Environment and Health and Safety in all aspects of your role Work in co-ordination with technical workshop on relevant aspects of tasks The Person Essential Criteria: Ideally educated to degree level in Chemical or Process Engineering or similar You will have a good working knowledge of industrial equipment such as pumps Must be able to read and understand process & instrumentation drawings Strong experience of project work requiring specialist engineering knowledge Computer literate & fully competent in Microsoft Office Desirable Criteria: Previous chemical/process engineering experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing plant Experience with chemical trials and implementation into a high-volume manufacturing plant Must have the ability to motivate others and be a strong team player Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines Previous experience of fault-finding and engineering out problems using analytical techniques such as FMEA, Six Sigma and Lean We are looking for candidates with high aspirations, who strive to exceed goals and seeks ways to improve overall performance levels resulting in business success.
