Urban Connect are working with a large Tier 1 Civil Contractor. This MEICA Construction Manager role is a highly specialised position requiring a candidate with experience in managing large-scale wastewater treatment projects, particularly within the Thames Water framework. The role combines technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) with leadership skills to ensure efficient project execution. Here's an outline for candidate qualifications and attributes: Ideal Candidate Profile: Education & Certification : A Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management (NVQ, HNC, or HND), or a degree in Construction Management or a related discipline. CSCS card – Gold level (Supervisor or Manager). Relevant certifications (e.g., confined space, fire marshal, first aid, temporary works supervisor). Experience & Skills : Extensive experience in construction site management, ideally with a background in wastewater treatment or similar infrastructure projects. Deep knowledge of MEICA systems and their integration within large-scale civil engineering projects. Strong commercial awareness, including understanding the implications of early warning notices and the financial aspects of construction. Proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on complex construction sites. Key Competencies : Leadership and management skills for driving safety, productivity, and quality.
