This role requires an enthusiastic, confident person to join our friendly team for approximately 25 hours per week, with the prospect of promotion to clinic manager.
Essential skills/requirements for this role:
* Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality
* Enthusiasm and proactivity, with confidence to deal with members of the public and staff at all levels
* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection
* Computer literate and with MS Word and Excel experience
* Sound English and Mathematical ability
* Flexibility and willingness to cover holiday/sickness of other staff members
Key responsibilities for the Clinic Assistant role:
* Telephone and Reception duties (training provided)
* Preparation of treatment rooms between patient treatments
* Preparation of patient files for next day’s doctor’s lists including text message reminders
* Administrative support (typing letters, invoice/receipts, x-ray reports and other support as required)
* Checking emails
* Dealing with insurance claims and unpaid accounts
* Any other general clinic duties, as required
Key responsibilities for the Clinic Manager role:
* Organising staff hours and holidays
* Stock takes and ordering
* Computer back-ups for the office and x-ray device
* Organise and update the health and safety requirements
* Making sure fire, gas and electric testing is done yearly
* Helping to set up a patient database
* Organising staff meetings where needed
The above is an indication of the duties required. However, it is not exhaustive as other duties may be necessary from time to time to facilitate the smooth running of the clinic.
Hours: To be discussed/agreed. Possibility of one Saturday morning per month
