We are seeking a back of house manager to join the opening team of 17 Bruton Street. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable, and passionate about all thing's food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Goods Receiver looking for a role in ambitious restaurant in the heart of Mayfair.
Opening in the first quarter of 2025, this new restaurant will be in a prime location in Mayfair and aims to elevate the seafood offering in London. Staying true to provenance and with a keen focus on quality, it aims to deliver a memorable and sophisticated dining experience. Featuring an open kitchen and a wood-fired grill, it will offer a delectable selection of seafood and a raw bar on the ground floor in addition to the 110 covers restaurant area a cocktail bar, and an 18 covers PDR on the lower level.
The Position
We are looking for an experienced Back of House Manager to provide essential support to the Back of House team. As Back of House Manager, working between the loading bay and basement kitchen, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing all food and beverage deliveries. Managing delivery notes, invoices, stock rotation and the quality of items.
If you have the following, then we want to hear from you:
* Previous experience as a Stock Controller or Goods Receiver in a large restaurant or Hotel;
* Eagerness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in;
* A creative approach with impeccable attention to detail;
* Passion for food and hospitality, along with the eagerness to continually learn;
* Communicate with suppliers to ensure quality of ingredients and competitive consistent prices;
* Communicate any issues and/or changes with the wider team;
* Ensure financial controls and processes are followed to ensure accuracy;
* Control and order of chemicals and consumables;
* Supervision of night cleaners' quality of work;
