We are looking for an Auto Mail Lead Operator to join our client based in Wymondham on a permanent basis.
As the Auto Mail Lead Operator, you will be working on a site that specialises in the production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for outbound mail and postal and electronic receipt, capture, validation, and document storage for inbound mail.
HOURS: Nights:
Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00pm to 7.00am (working 11 hours per shift)
Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00pm to 7.00am (working 11 hours per shift)
The Lead Operator will responsible for working the day-to-day operator duties and supporting Senior Operator duties consisting of Health and Safety, SLA delivery, managing daily peak workloads and additional key responsibilities. This also includes setting a positive tone and generating an open and trusting work environment. In the event of the Senior Operators absence, you will be expected to take lead on Health and Safety, SLA Delivery and planning activities including full supervision during weekend working Also key to this position is participation in continuous improvement activities as the Lead Operator will be a supporting driver in the streamlining of existing processes and the creation of new processes within the area.
Main responsibilities:
* Adhere to defined quality standards and processes in all activities, ensuring best practices are adopted
* Demonstrate ability to effectively coach the team
* Monitor team throughput and organise staff as necessary to achieve team SLAs
* Monitor Operator’s quality and throughput targets are achieved
* Demonstrate drive and support for continuous improvement activity
* Provide support in identifying process weaknesses through continuous improvement methodologies
* Take responsibility for own learning and development whilst providing support for Operators
Required experience:
* Experience of working to tight deadlines
* A reasonable level of competence in the use of a PC and Microsoft applications
* DMAIC Certification is desirable
* Experience within Auto Mail is essential
