Duration: 6 month contract - Outside IR35

About the role
Benefact Group are looking for an interim Solution Architect to join our Gloucester office on an outside IR35 contract basis.
Design and oversee the implementation of cohesive technology solutions as part of the Fusion programme, including stakeholder engagement with the appropriate parties and facilitating designs through Architectural governance.
Work across multiple internal and external delivery teams and the Enterprise Architecture function to ensure that designs and implementation are fit-for-purpose and in line with architecture principles and best practices.
Key Objectives
Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate architectural visions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the production of Solution designs and option papers for presentation at TDA/ARB as required for the following design elements:
* Retentions design – Dec 2024
* Endorsement Transactions – Dec 2024
* Renewal Transactions – Feb 2025
* Cancellation Transactions – Mar 2025
* Reinstatement Transactions – Apr 2025
* FAC Reinsurance Design – May 2025
* Reinsurance Integration – May 2025
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle for the above design items in delivery – May 2025.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Extensive experience in solution architecture, including within the insurance industry.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions in insurance, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and customer management systems.
* Strong knowledge of insurance industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Proficiency in architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure (preferred), AWS, Google Cloud), microservices, and event-driven architecture.
* Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and technologies (e.g., APIs, ESB, messaging systems).
* Understanding of data architecture, including data modelling, ETL processes, and data governance.
