Day to Day Duties Create, review, and approve finished product specifications, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and customer-specific standards. Complete online and manual specification templates with detailed recipe, nutritional, allergen, and packaging information. Collaborate with Technical Managers, Product Developers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate specifications. Approve client artworks, labels, and packaging in line with project timelines. Provide support to clients with specifications and artwork projects, offering feedback and advice as needed. Organise and participate in pack copy review meetings with key stakeholders. Maintain and update recipe management systems and customer specifications manuals. Plan and prioritise workload to deliver multiple projects effectively and accurately. Take part in Technical Service Team routine tasks as required. Familiarise yourself with factory operations to ensure accurate specification completion. Essential Skills Educated to degree level in a food-related discipline or equivalent industry experience. Minimum of two years in a food-related role, with at least 12 months in a specifications position. Experience using retailer specification portals and understanding their policies. Strong knowledge of HACCP principles. Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills. Right to work in the UK and ability to provide evidence of this. Desirable Experience Familiarity with recipe management systems. Experience working directly with product developers and packaging teams. Additional qualifications in food safety, quality, or related areas. Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental teamwork.
