As an Operations Process Technician, you'll be at the heart of our frontline operations, taking on various tasks that keep our essential wastewater treatment services running smoothly. This role offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in meaningful work that impacts both our customers and the environment.
Based at Bishops Stortford, you'll be an integral part of our operations team, ensuring the continuous operation of our wastewater treatment works. You'll work outdoors, ensuring we deliver reliable services to our customers while protecting the environment.
What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician (Waste):
* Ensuring our sites run safely, efficiently and within permitted site specifications to protect the environment.
* Monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining equipment and reporting any defective items to ensure a swift repair or attempting a first-time fix where possible.
* Taking ownership of your own and colleagues' health and safety by escalating any concerns to your manager or resolving them yourself where possible.
* Collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
* Working 1 weekend every 6 weeks once on the full working pattern.
You do not need a background in the Water industry. We would welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas, but you must be:
* Comfortable working outdoors, potentially in all weather conditions.
* Part of a team that delivers excellent performance.
* Good with time management.
* Confident to work effectively and efficiently on your own.
* Prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
* Able to complete basic tasks on a computer.
What you should bring to the role:
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Experience in delivering against challenging business targets.
* A positive approach to handling changes.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service.
* IT literate.
* Team player who respects others and supports their development.
