Job Title: Nursery Nurse (SEN)
Location: Bedford (MK42)
Rate: £80 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent placement
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join a new and supportive SEN school in Bedford. This exciting opportunity will involve working with learners aged 2 to 19 with severe and profound learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with complex needs
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies
* Support communication using systems such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable)
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with SEN learners in the UK…. OR….
* Experience with EYFS learners in Nursery/Primary settings
* Strong understanding of behaviour management
* TeamTeach certification (desirable but not essential)
* Experience with symbol communication systems such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable but not essential)
