Job Title: Cosmetic Repairers
Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 OTE, plus Bonuses
Location: Somerset, Taunton areas
We are currently in search of hard surface cosmetic repairers, ideally with a Fine Finishing background (e.g., Vehicle Repair and Paint Technicians, Factory Furniture Sprayers, Factory Metal Finishing Sprayers). Candidates should use a spray gun and must not be colour blind, with a keen eye for detail. Cosmetic surface repairers in the building trade would be a bonus; however, training will be provided for less experienced candidates.
The client has mentioned they would consider someone with no cosmetic repairs background, as training would be given, but they are looking for people with great attention to intricate detail (e.g., Chef, Cleaner, etc.).
The client operates services across Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and some of Dorset.

Clients include: Major national house builders, regional house builders, small sole traders, plumbers, kitchen fitters, electricians, brick layers, local authorities, universities, schools, MOD, care homes, hospitals, private homeowners, manufacturers of doors and windows, etc.
Desired locations for new teams and staff: Initially, Somerset M5 corridor preferred, Wellington, Taunton, Bridgewater, Western-super-Mare.
Starting Salary: £23,000, increasing to £24,000 plus bonus after the first year for capable proven track record, then on to £27,000 plus bonus for higher achievers. For a capable person, this job can pay £30,000 and more.
Hours of Work: Salary-based role with additional bonus after the first 12 months. On-site for 8:30 AM, completing up to 8 hours of work per day. Actual hours may vary based on distance traveled to site and workload.
Driving: Distances vary from 5 minutes to approximately 1.5 hours to and from site locations. Van and fuel supplied and paid for by the company.
Uniform: Supplied (apart from trousers, which must be black or navy blue, NOT jeans).
PPE: Supplied by the company.
Company Van: Issued for business use only, fitted with a tracker, fully kitted with all materials and equipment after the first two weeks.
Company Mobile Phone: Issued during the first two weeks of training.
Company Credit Card: Issued during the first two weeks (for company fuel purchases only; all other purchases must be email authorized by a manager).
Monthly Bonus System: Commences after 12 months of service, subject to health performance.
New Customer Sales Bonus: Commences with immediate effect.
New Site Bonus: Commences with immediate effect.
Holiday: 21 days per year plus bank holidays.
Pension: Standard workplace pension (government state pension with top-up).
Requirements:
* Must not be colour blind; mixing of colours is a common requirement for this role.
* Comfortable working at heights (ladders, tower scaffold, fixed scaffold, etc.).
* CSCS Card holders: can be arranged during training (small fee to be paid by the candidate for their card and touch screen test).
Basic Training:
1. First two weeks: classroom training, mostly practical in-house training, delivery of equipment, and understanding of methods and materials.
2. Third week: 4 days with trained technician followed by one day on own.
3. Fourth week: 3 days with trained technician followed by two days on own.
4. Fifth week: 2 days with trained technician followed by three days on own.
5. Sixth week: 1 day with trained technician and four days on own.
