In our mission to help change lives and build healthy, resilient communities in Somerset, we are currently recruiting for two full time Development Managers.
Funded by the national Volunteering for Health programme, these exciting roles will support the development of volunteering within two Primary Care Network (PCN) areas, Frome and the Rural Practice Network (Wincanton, Castle Cary, Queen Camel and Milborne Port).
The role involves piloting new ways of working and supporting the needs of the community to improve health outcomes through volunteering and volunteers. It will also involve working with a range of partners within each PCN area to complement existing activity and explore new opportunities, ensuring activity is joined up and placing the volunteer at the heart.
It is anticipated that the learning from this work will help to inform a future county wide volunteering strategy.
We’re looking for a creative individual with a strong understanding of local volunteering trends and experience in coordinating volunteer programs, capacity building, and co-production. You will be skilled in engaging diverse communities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting marginalised groups while promoting equality and inclusion.
